Intro
Recently, Uppteam collaborated with a Dallas-based design firm specializing in placemaking across multifamily, hospitality, restaurant, and commercial spaces on a project in Kerrville, Texas.
Spanning approximately 8,500 sq. ft., the Bluewood Amenities project required precise Revit modeling and construction documentation. Our team provided architectural design support, ensuring accuracy, alignment with the client’s vision, and timely project completion.

Task Assigned
Uppteam was responsible for transforming 2D CAD plans into a comprehensive 3D Revit model while refining the construction documentation to ensure all architectural elements were accurately represented. The scope included developing detailed schematics, elevations, sections, and material specifications to deliver a fully coordinated construction set.
Challenges
One of the primary challenges for our architectural design support team was converting CAD plans into a highly detailed and accurate Revit model using Revit Architecture while preserving the project’s design integrity.
CAD files often provide limited three-dimensional data, requiring adjustments to ensure proper alignment of architectural details. Missing design elements, such as floor heights and structural references, made it challenging to develop the model without additional clarifications.
Another challenge was ensuring the final construction documentation met the client’s expectations while staying within the project timeline.
Solutions
Uppteam tackled the challenges through some strategic steps. First, the design support team requested additional architectural details and 3D information from the client to refine the accuracy of the Revit model. The team accurately defined floor heights and structural alignments by incorporating elevations and other reference materials.
Uppteam also worked meticulously to refine the construction documentation, ensuring it provided clear guidelines for execution. The team ensured the final design closely matched the original concept while optimizing space utilization by aligning final drawings with client references, including site images, dimensions, and sketches.
Our team delivered high-quality, accurate 3D Revit model through meticulous planning and coordination for future reference. The client was delighted with the flexibility in refining plans and elevations throughout the process.
